Wisconsin Forward Ryan Evans Solves Yips With Jump Shot Free Throw

The free throw struggle is real for Wisconsin's Ryan Evans. Last season, the 6-7 guard/forward shot 73 percent from the charity stripe on 117 attempts and made 81 percent in conference play. This season, Evans has developed a brutal case of the yips and is converting just 41% from the free throw line. To make matters worse, he's also the team's leading free throw shooter. Surprisingly instead of going with the Rick Barry grandmama free throw, Evans resorted to leaping on his free throws like I used to do when the ball was too heavy and my jersey was two sizes too short. On Tuesday night against Nabraska, he drained both attempts.

After Dwight Howard's free throw shooting shooting woes hit a low in his 21% performance against Denver, he should consider looking to the college game or take a visit to Wisconsin's campus for a little guidance.
