It's going to be a few years before we know how this pans out, but it was quite the signing day for Ole Miss. The Rebels signed defensive end Robert Nkemdiche, the No. 1 overall recruit in the ESPN 150. To add, Ole Miss also brought to Oxford the nation's supposed No. 1 receiver in Laquon Treadwell, No. 1 offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil, and a host of other teenagers that no one really knows.
But folks in Mississippi are celebrating because they already have a young, talented group returning for the 2013 season. To land recruits with these expectations lends optimism toward the future. It also brings about skepticism as to whether the program is abiding by those silly NCAA rules, the ones that say schools can't actually pay for talent.

49ers tight end Delanie Walker's aunt and uncle were killed by a drunk driver the morning after watching him play in the Super Bowl. The police said the couple's vehicle was reared at a high rate of speed while parked on the shoulder of a highway. Thoughts are with his family.
