Florida State Attorney Willie Meggs announced on Thursday that FSU QB and leading Heisman contender Jameis Winston will not be charged with sexual assault. Among other reasons, Meggs stated that, "Her recall of the events of that night have been moving around quite a bit."
Alcohol was involved, heavily, according to witnesses, who also saw the two of them hooking up in what looked like a consensual manner. Witness accounts varied, and ultimately there was not enough evidence to prosecute, or truly determine if a crime actually occurred.
The police report in lengthy, but it's clear as to why Meggs did not follow through with the case, and why he seemed to reach a conclusion rather quickly. You can view the full report here, courtesy of BSO.
