Tom Crean went hard on Michigan assistant coach Jeff Meyer after the Hoosiers beat the Wolverines to clinch the outright Big Ten regular-season title. The background on this is that Meyer was an assistant at Indiana under Kelvin Sampson before Crean inherited the NCAA sanctioned program in 2008. The sanctions were the result of violations under Sampson but Meyer was cleared by the NCAA of wrongdoing in regards to the major violations.
Something tells me the Indiana coach had this built up inside for a while, but, seriously, is that the right time? Chill.
Crean has since apologized.
