Vanderbilt Dismisses Four Football Players Amid A Sex Crimes Investigation

SEC football has not had the best summer, and recently it might have reached its lowest point. On Monday, Vanderbilt released the names of the four players who were dismissed from the team during a sex crimes investigation: Brandon Banks, Cory Batey, Jaborian McKenzie and Brandon Vandenburg.

This newest issue is even worse for Vanderbilt coach James Franklin, who can’t afford to follow a solid season with a year filled with controversy.

If Franklin can’t regain control of the team, there may be one less black coach in the SEC, already a rare sight in the conference.
