Trump’s Anti-Kaep Crusade Continues With Comments On Nike Ad

Today we awakened to news that my 12-year-old pittie could have predicted, Donald Trump’s inevitable wading into the fray to comment on Nike’s “Just do it” ad campaign via Twitter. It’s the “No duh!” scenario that’s so obvious it was worth bringing back a tired old cliche to describe it.

“I think it’s a terrible message and a message that shouldn’t be sent,” Trump said. “There’s no reason for it.”

Nike’s flagship store had been located a Trump Tower in New York up until last year when the relocated recently.
To be certain, this is about as measured as Donald Trump has ever been when describing something he disagrees with.

“As much as I disagree with the Colin Kaepernick endorsement, in another way I mean, I wouldn’t have done it,” he said. “In another way, it is what this country is all about, that you have certain freedoms to do things that other people think you shouldn’t do, but I personally am on a different side of it.”
