Track Phenom Sydney McLaughlin Is Finally Going Pro

400m hurdler star Sydney McLaughlin is officially leaving the life of a NCAA athlete to go pro.

According to Flotrack, she made the announcement after running the third leg on Kentucky’s 4X400m relay. In addition to going pro, McLaughlin also mentioned that she’s planning on racing at USATF Outdoor Nationals.

During the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Championships, McLaughlin snagged her first and last NCAA title in the 400m hurdles with a time of 53.96.

For those who are unaware of her, she is a huge track star in the making! Back in 2016, McLaughlin was the youngest member of the U.S’s national track and field team during the Rio Olympics.

Since then, she has continued to shine.
