The Raiders Spend $300 Million For Their New Stadium; Problem Is, It Will Cost $800 Million

With the lowest average attendance in the NFL, the Raiders want to move to a 50,000-seat complex where they have a better chance of selling out. To do that, the team is going to need some help. Otherwise, it will have a hefty bill to pay.

Reportedly , the Raiders proposed to contribute $300 million. If the NFL to provides money through its stadium loan program, which can be as much as $200 million, Oakland is left with $300 million to sweep up themselves. That’s quite the hit, but if "the Town" wants to prevent the Raiders from returning to LA, it’s one it might have to take.
