The Carters Honor, Dedicate Detroit Concert To Queen Aretha Franklin

Beyonce and Jay-Z dedicated their Detroit concert stop this past Monday to Aretha Franklin, as its been reported that the Queen of Soul is gravely ill and near death.

The Carters, who are currently on their North America run of their On The Run II Tour, started off their show at Ford Field with a few words by saying, we love you and thank for all the beautiful music.

DJ Khaled also included a quick tribute to the songstress during his set, asking the crowd to send some love to Aretha Franklin before playing her iconic hit Respect.

Franklin who is currently 76, has been said to be ill for the past couple of years causing her to retire from touring. Her last performance was Nov. 7 at an Elton John AIDS foundation event in New York City.
