It seems like only yesterday that Ice Cube announced The Big3 Tournament would be setting things off at the Barclays this summer. Now, after today's draft, the League just took another huge step towards becoming a reality this June.
Held at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, the Big3 Draft featured big names formerly called during NBA games, starting with the first #1 pick in the League's history, former UNC standout Rashad McCants. McCants will be playing for Kenyon Martin and Al Harrington on Team Trilogy. Even former #1 pick in the 2001 NBA Draft, Kwame Brown, was also selected, going to team 3 Headed Monsters, which is by co-captained by Rashard Lewis and Jason Williams, and coached by the Glove himself, Gary Payton.
Now that the teams are set, next stop is Brooklyn at the Barclays on June 25th.
