Steph Curry Donates $25K To Pro Golfer’s Wife Who Is Battling Cancer

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry finished off the Web.com event with a generous donation to a pro golfer.

Ayesha and Stephen Curry Foundation donated $25,000 to the GoFundMe account for Web.com Tour golfer Scott Harrington, and his wife, Jenn, who is currently battling Hodgkins Lymphoma.

“Jenn and I want to thank Ellie Mae and the Ayesha and Stephen Curry Foundation for such a generous gift,” Harrington said via CBSSports. “Steph called us personally today to tell us what they were planning to do, and that really meant so much to us for him to reach out like that, and for him and the event organizers to think of us. This has been a very trying few months and there are more difficult times ahead, but we’re optimistic that Jenn will kick this thing and get back to the healthy, active life she’s led for so long.”

No guaranteed contracts out here. @Warriors guard @StephenCurry30 gets it. Longtime #WebTour pro Scott Harrington (@ScottyGlf) took a leave to be with his wife Jenn as she battles cancer. And Curry wanted to help out. https://t.co/aBY0ZKJAP0

Curry told reporters about his interaction with Harrington and the golfer’s kind response.

The donation news is one of many for the star point guard, who’s known for his philanthropic efforts. Just a week ago, Curry set up an All-Star Game to raise $21,355 for Nia Wilson’s family following the 18-year-old’s brutal attack and murder. Stephen Curry’s continuous, kind gestures show why he is a great player both on and off the court.
