Six Newcomers Made Forbes 2018 Highest-Paid Hip-Hop Acts List

Many expect Jay-Z, Diddy, Kendrick Lamar and Drake to be on Forbes’ 2018 World’s Highest-Paid Hip-Hop Acts list. But this year alone, six newcomers have made their way closer to the top!

Nas has earned his spot on the list for the first time after releasing his debut album, according to Forbes. His friendship with venture capitalist Ben Horowitz and investments in companies like Lyft, Genius, and Mass Appeal have helped Nas to secure a career-best, $35 million. This new information has shot the artist up to the No. 6 spot.

Aside from the Queens rapper’s debut, this year’s list is filled with other newcomers such as Travis Scott (No.14, $21m), Lil Uzi Vert (No. 17, $19.5m), Logic (no. 19, $17m), Russ and Meek Mill (tied at No. 20, $15m).

Additional noteworthy changes to this year’s list include Diddy’s drop to the No. 2 spot, Kendrick Lamar’s career-best $58 million milestone and Nicki Minaj missing the cut.
