Rutgers Head Football Coach fined 50k for improper contact with faculty

Rutgers football coach Kyle Flood was suspended three games and fined $50k after violating the Universitys policy, which prohibits the coach from making contact with any faculty members regarding a students academic status.

According to the Rutgers investigative report, Flood had frequent contact with the players instructor via e-mail and in-person meetings, in effort to have a grade changed.

This latest incident is just one of a few issues recently surrounding the Rutgers football program, as six players were kicked off the team within the past two-weeks after arrests. Their star wide receiver was also suspended last week.  It will be interesting to see how Rutgers deals with the leadership of their football program going forth.
