Def Jam is celebrating Rick Ross as he takes the number one spot on the Billboard chart, again, with his fifth album Mastermind, pushing 179,000 units its first week of release. The feat enters Ross into the very small club of MCs who’s had five number one album debuts including Jay Z, Kanye West, Eminem, Nas, DMX, and Tupac. Jay leads with 13 number ones debuts.

Pharrell should be “Happy” about his #2 debut with GIRL, selling 112,000 in its first week. And rounding out the top three is the soundtrack to the academy award winning animated movie and soundtrack Frozen, which has sold 1.3 million copies to date led by the Idina Menzel smash “Let it Go.”
