LeBron To The Lakers Would Be A Bigger Mistake Than Leaving For Miami

Its official.

LeBron James will play for the Los Angeles Lakers next season. Well, at least, according to a Peter Vecsey report.

And Vecsey, a veteran scribe, left no wiggle room.

LeBron James definitively leaving Cavaliers for Lakers after this season. Today’s exclusive column https://t.co/MnaPpaFUJh

In his most recent column, Vecsey wrote, For months, many in the media declared or composed presumption the Lakers would be the beneficiaries of his talents when he became a free agent July 1, 2018. Im eradicating all conjecture and uncertainty! Im comfortable in now stating unequivocally, LeBron will leave the Cavaliers a second time and join the Lakers, and return the team to LA Lore status.

James can decline a $35.6 million player option in order to become an unrestricted free agent after this upcoming season.

There has been so much speculation that James would bolt Cleveland, basically his hometown, for a second time. This time, hell go West to La-La.

It would be the biggest mistake in James career.

And thats saying a lot.

In all his greatness on the court, James, entering his 15th season, has had a number of missteps in his career.

The Decision turned a lot fans off.

Although James has never admitted it, going to Miami and giving up on Cleveland was a big mistake. It tarnished his career.

LeBron James’ Top 10 Plays of the 2013-2014 Season!

Check out the Top 10 plays from Heat forward, LeBron James! About the NBA: The NBA is the premier professional basketball league in the United States and Canada. The league is truly global, with games and programming in 215 countries and territories in 47 languages, as well as NBA rosters at the start of the 2013-14 season featuring a record 92 international players from 39 countries and territories.

Sure, James went to the Finals four years in a row and won two titles. Still, few real basketball fans felt good about it. It just felt wrong, a great player had to form a super team to win a title or two.

This chapter will be more bad than good when James story is written after his playing career is over.

In this L.A. move, if it does happen, James will officially become a vagabond.

James will be known for just chasing titles, not his great play.

And for all the chasing, James hasnt exactly cashed in as often as most would have thought. In fact, of all former league MVPs go, James has lost the most championships ever. Its five now and counting.

The number will likely increase with a move to the competitive West.

Maybe, James would be cool with not making it to the Finals and losing. With Golden State intact, theres a chance James wont get back to the Finals again in his career.

And thats real.

2017 NBA Finals Game 5 Mini-Movie | The Warriors Win the 2016-2017 NBA Championship

Led by NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant’s 39 points, the Golden State Warriors defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers 129-120 to win the 2016-2017 NBA Championship, 4 games to 1.

Winning looks hard enough. Think about it. James averaged a triple-double in the NBA Finals and lost essentially in a five-game sweep.

That says a lot about the team the Warriors have and how hard it is to win.

Sure, James can believe that he can go to LA and join Lonzo Ball and Paul George, if he goes there as well after a year in OKC, and they can dethrone the Warriors.

I just dont see it.

Some in the NBA dont believe James is so high on playing for the Lakers or even the Clippers.

They say that James is just enamored with Los Angeles, the city, the vibe and all the movers and shakers there.

James should just stay in Cleveland, work hard to rebuild that team in an easy East.

And most of all, James should do it for the fans, all the people in Cleveland who had their prayers answered.

James just didnt come back home after running away to Miami, but he delivered a championship. It was the citys first title since 1964. It was an amazing story.

Warriors vs Cavaliers: Game 7 NBA Finals – 06.19.16 Full Highlights

The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Golden State Warriors 93-89 in Game 7 of The Finals to win the series 4-3. Cleveland’s LeBron James recorded a triple-double in the win with 27 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Draymond Green led the Warriors with 32 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists in defeat.

Fans there deserve the right to see James finish his career where he started it. It was kind of weird how Michael Jordans career ended in a Washington Wizards uniform and not even making the playoffs. It still stinks.

As for James, all that goodwill will go down the drain because he wants to leave again, follow the prettiest girl across the country with hopes and dreams.

Then again, maybe, just maybe, James knows he cant win again and doesnt want to go to the Finals 11 straight years, the current streak is seven, and keep losing. That would look worse on his resume.

James just could have figured it out. You go West where the competition is tougher. No one will be able to kill him for not getting to the Finals. The Warriors are his built-in excuse.

That has to be it. Otherwise, James will make the his biggest mistake yet.
