Ray Lewis Sounds Like He Wants Back On The Ravens

A few weeks after Joe Flacco said he barely understood any pregame speeches from the legendary Ray Lewis, the HOF LB now working for ESPN said the Baltimore Ravens lacked leadership.

Lewis was obviously one of the leaders on last year's Super Bowl winning team, but apparently he just doesn't see any of those qualities on this year's team.

More likely, Lewis is finding the single life much more difficult that he anticipated. After breaking up with the Ravens following their championship run, Lewis, just a few months removed from his playing career, thinks the Ravens had better leadership when he was on the team.

The Ravens, especially Flacco, don't necessarily agree.

"It is what it is. Ray knows better than that. Things happen. I think we’re usually a pretty good team with stuff like that. If you look around the league, there are probably a lot of leadership problems then. Like I said, Ray knows better.”

“You laugh about it kind of. It’s funny, some of the things that we deal with. I don’t really have too many comments on it because they’d all be taken the wrong way and out of context. It’s not really an issue.”

Sitting a 2-1 after whooping up on the Houston Texans without Ray Rice, it's a little hard to argue with Flacco.

It's hard when you realize your ex is doing just fine without you, though. But for Ray Lewis and the Ravens, this is likely to play out for a while.
