Poetic Justice as Lakers Honor Buss, Beat Celtics

The Lakers paid tribute to late owner Jerry Buss last night, in the poetic fashion fitting for Los Angeles. Against the long-time rival Celtics, the Lakers spread the wealth, lead by Dwight Howard with 24 and 12, Kobe Bryant with 16 points, Steve Nash and Earl Clark dropping 14 each, and Metta World Peace adding 12.

Before the game, Kobe (1:45) calls Buss the greatest owner of all time, and remembered his vision and drive to win.

During the game, Steve Nash dished his 10,142th assist, passing Magic Johnson for fourth on the all-time list.

The rest of the game was classic Los Angeles Lakers basketball. A fitting salute.
