Peyton Manning Will Soon Pass Dan Marino On All-Time Passing Yards List

Peyton Manning’s greatness often resides on the side of intangibles. How he tricks defenses at the line of scrimmage, that serious sideline demeanor, etc. There are some things that just can’t be quantified. However, there are many things that can and one of them is his continued stacking of passing numbers.

Sometime this season, he’s going to jump Dan Marino in all-time passing yards. That’s a major one, in case you hadn’t figured that out. At some point, Manning will probably own every passing record there is, but few will weigh as much as this one. Next up, Farve.

From NBC Sports:

Most significant of the many accomplishments Manning can achieve this season is surpassing Dan Marino for second place on the all-time passing yardage list. Manning has 59,487 career passing yards, so if he passes for 1,875 yards this year, he’ll pass Dan Marino (61,361 yards) for second all-time, behind only Brett Favre.
