Paul Allen, Owner Of Seahawks And Trailblazers, Passes Away At 65

The legendary tech pioneer and philanthropist died at the age 65 from complications of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Paul Allen, owner of the Seattle Seahawks and Portland Trailblazers, has passed away at the age of 65.

The co-founder of Microsoft lost his battle with an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

In a prepared statement from Paul’s sister Jody on the behalf of the Allen family, she describes Paul as a wonderful man who’s accomplishments in business paled in comparison to the man behind the scenes.

Statement from Paul Allen’s family. He died today at 65 from complications of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in Seattle

Allen purchased the Seattle Seahawks NFL team in 1996 when former owner Ken Behring threatened to move the Seahawks to Southern California.

He also purchased the Portland Trail Blazers NBA team in 1988 from California real estate developer Larry Weinberg for $70 million.
