In need of a running back after season ending injuries to Dion Lewis and LeGarette Blount, New England has reportedly added three-time pro bowl Steven Jackson to their roster.

Jackson, 32, was released by the Atlanta Falcons this spring, but has had a stellar career rushing for 11,388 yards and 68 TD's.

This is a great low risk, high reward move that has become routine for New England over the years, as Jackson can provide some versatility for the Pats offense with his ability to "ground and pound" and catch passes out of the backfield, similarly to what Lewis brought to the table earlier in the season.
