NFL Carousel Gets Going Quickly

That was quick. Just one day after the Bears missed the playoffs for the second straight season, Lovie Smith was given the axe in Chicago, despite finishing 10-6.

The next few moves were less surprising. Andy Reid was canned after a miserable season, just a year removed from the "Dream Team" in Philly. It appears the Jets chose to bounce GM Mike Tannenbaum, which may mean Rex Ryan keeps his job. Chan Gailey had more eyebrows raised when he was hired by the Bills in the first place than today. Romeo Crennel wasn't able to get much going during his tenure with the Chiefs, and was also let go.

Anyone heard from Norv Turner, or has the West Coast not woken up yet?
