NCAT Baseball Set To Take On No. 1 Seed UNC In NCAA Tournament

North Carolina A&T’s baseball team is set to take on the No. 1 seeded UNC Tarheels at the NCAA tournament.

The Aggies earned their second postseason appearance in school history after a 3-0 sweep through the MEAC Baseball Championship.

This year has proven to be very successful for the school’s program: They captured a No. 4 seed in the NCAA tournament, they claimed the MEAC Southern Division title and broke the school record for wins and conference wins.

But, even with recent accomplishments, the NCAA tournament and the Tarheels will be a challenge for the Aggies. Currently, the team’s postseason record is 0-2, falling to Clemson and Oral Roberts in 2005.

With standout players like Zach McLean and All-MEAC First Team honorees like Dawnoven Smith, this may be the first breakthrough for A&T’s postseason history.
