We often use humor in the most peculiar ways. Indeed, the term "laugh in the face of danger" isn't as much a sign of bravery as it is self defense mechanism.
Last night Warriors interim head coach Mike Brown was late to a pregame press conference before his team's game against the San Antonio Spurs in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. He is a consummate professional. So, he felt it necessary to explain what went down.

As I watched this, I was a bit nauseated as Brown explained how police accosted him with laughter and a smile. But what was even more nauseating is all the laughter that came from the peanut gallery. Brown has a right to laugh, he went through it. But all the supplementary laughter was tasteless.
