Metta World Peace Is Ready To Drop Knowledge On Malice at the Palace

Is anybody sure why Metta World Peace is wasting his time with an NBA career anymore? He's generating more buzz for his off-court exploits than he does for his play anymore. Whether it's his burgeoning comedy career, music enterprises or his acting career we all look forward to what he'll do next. His two-year deal with the New York Knicks feels like his last NBA deal until he retires or follows Stephon Marbury to China.

According to World Peace, his next potential project may be a book on the Malice at the Palace. According to World Peace, he's already written the book. Most likely, World Peace has been advised to release it around the 10-year anniversary next November 19, with contributions from Stephen Jackson and Jermaine O'Neal. In 2009, World Peace tracked down the cup tosser and made amends with the man.

Via New York Post:

Q: The Malice at the Palace.

A: I wrote a book about it, son. I think I’m gonna wait to talk about it. But I wrote a book about that whole experience….

Q: Do you think it affected your reputation?

A: Maybe like 500,000 people still talk about it, or a million people. But the other 6.9 billion people in the world, I think they got other things to worry about, you know — from the economy, to Middle East problems, to starvation in some countries, to girl trafficking in some countries, to gang violence. There’s so many other problems in the world.

On a side note, that aforementioned possibility of Marbury and World Peace linking up in the Chinese Basketball Association is a frightening and provocative idea. Metta considered it this year, but if it ever does come to fruition, the uncensored story of that season could be the greatest piece of sports literature ever known to man.
