The Heat mostly spoke of the Spurs in high-esteem following Game 7 of the NBA Finals, who were gracious in their congratulatory remarks to the champions. Lebron James continued that trend via Twitter, defending Spurs guard Danny Green, who received criticism for visiting the celebrating Heat at Story nightclub after their decisive game. Green used to play with James on the Cavs and 'Bron praised him for his rise from D-League obscurity to become a key player for the Spurs.
The Spurs wing said on Friday that he happened to be at the same nightclub by chance. Unfortunate how Danny Green still needed to defend himself, though, especially after draining 25 of his 38 three-pointers during the Finals, but at least his opponents recognize the genuine nature behind what went down.
Danny Green did not party with us on Thursday night. He came to say congrats and I told him how proud of him I was for taking advantage.....— LeBron James (@KingJames) June 23, 2013
