LeBron Dismisses Being Tired In Game 5 Loss To Celtics

Did the Boston Celtics find LeBron James‘ kryptonite or is he simply feeling the strain of carrying the Cleveland Cavaliers to another playoff game?

On Wednesday night, James showed a decline in energy during the Cavs’ 96-83 Game 5 loss to the Celtics. This was definitely a first time sight for many viewers and fans.

And although his numbers were solid, (26 points, 10 rebounds and five assists), he appeared to be tired at times, which potentially contributed to his six turnovers.

“I had my moments,” LeBron James said when asked if he was tired. “I think everybody at this point is tired or worn down.”

He then dismissed any feelings of tiredness or exhaustion. “I’m fine,” he said. “I didn’t mention fatigue, [the media] did.”

Despite his post-game statements, Cavs coach Tyronn Lue noticed his lack of energy throughout the game and even altered his rotation to give James more rest.

“He looked a little tired to me,” Lue said. “[I have] no concerns. You’ve got to be ready to play now.”

Looks like the Boston Celtics‘ defense is starting to wear James down, let’s see how much energy he has heading into Game 6.
