Lawal Dominates Satoshi Ishii In Dublin

It didn’t take long for Satoshi Ishii to feel the power of veteran fighter Muhammed King Mo Lawal early in the heavyweight main event of Bellator 169 at the 3A Arena in Dublin, Ireland.

Lawal (20-5) pestered Ishii with strikes, keeping the Japanese Judoka from getting into range and utilizing his judo throughout Round 1. By the end of the first stanza, Ishii was seemingly stuck in time, glaring at Lawal who stood amazed in the middle of the cage with his hands on his hips.

The taunting continued from Lawal and he attempted to draw Ishii (14-7-1) into reaching with a strike he could counter.

Utilizing Ishiis fear of pending strikes, Lawal scored a takedown against the cage with almost two minutes remaining in the round and ground away to the end of the round.

Round 3 repeated the same and Lawal walked away with an easy win on the scorecards by tallies of 30-27 across the board.

Lawal is now riding a two-fight winning streak following a defeat to Phil Davis.
