Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald says he will play out the final year of his contract in 2017.

Fitzgerald is due to make $11 million in base salary next season. The future Hall of Famer, age 33, led the league in receptions this season with 107.

Entering his 14th season, Fitzgerald has career totals of 1,125 receptions, 14,389 receiving yards (ninth all time), and 104 receiving touchdowns. He is also a 10-time Pro Bowler.

With Fitzgerald on board for next season, Arizona is still waiting on a decision from quarterback Carson Palmer, who is also pondering the future of  his NFL player career.

“As a friend, it’s best to let him make his own decision,” Fitzgerald said of Palmer

"I feel very comfortable with where they're at and what's going to happen," said Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians. "Like everybody else, I've got my fingers crossed, and I think when the juices start flowing and the injuries go away, they'll both be back, but there's nothing to confirm yet."
