Larry Fitzgerald Moves Into Third In Career NFL Receiving Yards

Short of winning a Super Bowl, Larry Fitzgerald has won almost every individual honor there is for a player to win, including the 2016 Walter Payton Award  NFL Man of the Year Award. His prowess as a prolific wide receiver is legendary and as the 14th year of his career comes to an end, Fitzgerald continues to light it up on the field and the magnitude of his overall career accomplishments takes center stage.

Fitzgerald has become the standardof consistency and brilliance as an NFL wide receiver. Other names have been mentioned over the years, but as the smoke clears, those guys are long retired or not as effective anymore.

As multi-faceted a receiver as you will find, with five grabs for 44 yards, Fitzgerald helped the Arizona Cardinals stay in the NFC playoff race with a huge 12-7 win over the Tennessee Titanson Sunday. In the process, Fitzgerald surpasses the mythical Randy Moss for third all-time in receiving yards with 15, 311.

Larry Legend keeps climbing.

Fitzgerald, a 10-time Pro Bowler also moved into third place all-time in receptions and fifth in receiving touchdowns. With no signs of slowing down, Fitzgerald could surpass Terrell Owens (15, 934) by early next season, although Jerry Rices 22, 895 yards seem unsurmountable for any human.
