Knee Surgery Keeps John Wall Out Of The 2018 NBA All-Star Game

Wizards guard John Wall is one of the more electrifying  guards in a guard-laden NBA. This season has been a challenge as Walls been battling injuries. He’s shooting 41.7 percent from the field, which is his lowest since his rookie season, and he is dishing less than 10 dimes a game for the first time since 2013-14. One of the better defensive guards in the game, his steal and rebound rates are at career lows.

It was still enough to get him named as an All-Star, but instead of balling for Team LeBron this year, Wall will miss six to eight weeks for knee surgery according to The Washington Post. The procedure has been described as a “clean-up,” as Wall has had several issues with his left knee in the past.

Wall and teammate Bradley Beal form a Top 5 NBA backcourt and were both chosen to play alongside Team LeBron in the NBAs new format. Wall is a supermax extension guy who the Wizards heavily depend on and have $170 million invested in, with $43.8 million guaranteed on the horizon in 2021-22.
