Kevin Durant’s Hero Ball Fell Short Against The Grizzlies Henchmen

Kevin Durant tried to play hero ball for the fourth consecutive game, but ultimately, the Grizzlies henchmen attack tired him out. Although, Durant was able to lay-in the game-tying fingeroll Gervin-style, but Memphis outlasted him with a total team-effort. Memphis' low-post duo of Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph decimated the Thunder defense and dominated the offensive boards. The Grizzlies didn't score a single basket in transition, but Gasol and Randolph combined for 46 points and 23 rebounds. Defensively, the Grizzlies switched out Tayshaun Prince and newly-minted 2013 All-NBA First-Teamer Tony Allen on Durant in the second half and held him to 2-of-13 shooting in the fourth quarter and overtime.

The Grizzlies took a 3-1 lead in the series, but Doug Gottlieb took a Twitter shot for the win.
