Kanye’s Problem Aren’t Free Thoughts. It’s His Uncheckable Trump Ego

Kanye West‘s “David and Goliath” mentality strips him of critical thinking, ultimately doing more harm to others than himself. His ideologies and continuous drive to prove people wrong create dangerous dialogues without context or understanding. As a result, his jumbled thoughts fuel fearmongering propagandists and their harmful portrayal of the black community. It’s one thing to exercise your creative philosophies amongst new industries, but it’s another to explore without facts or acknowledgment.

West’s undeniable, God-given musical talent has exceeded all critics doubts and expectations. In the early, to mid-2000s Ye found a way to bring backpack/conscious rap to mainstream audiences, providing another alternative to gangsta rap. From inspiring a new generation of proteges and artists, we can all agree that Kanye’s creative genius elevated music.

But the main problem here isn’t his talent or his free-expression. It’s his uncheckable ego that’s just as famous as his discography. It’s a hypocritical attitude that doesn’t allow people to challenge Goliath Ye. This is ironic considering in both music and fashion, Kanye was once in David’s shoes.

Thursday night, West made a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he discussed an array of topics including his wifes advocacy for Alice Marie Johnsons clemency and his current mindset around the state of hip-hop.

Jimmy Kimmel’s Full Interview with Kanye West

Kanye talks about his passion for music and fashion, what he thinks of Donald Trump, Kim’s trip to Washington D.C.

It’s not about policies ’cause I’m not a politician like that but it represented overcoming fear and doing what you felt no matter what anyone said and saying you can’t bully me, liberals can’t bully me, news can’t bully me, the hip-hop community, they can’t bully me,” he explained.

His correlation between objective criticism and bullying shows a lack of comprehension, that doesn’t create the dialogue needed to ultimately grow. It’s counterproductive.

Diehard Ye stans and fans of music are still are open to listening to what he has to say. But, where does that take us if he is unwilling or unable to respond? At times, it appears he has nothing to say and solely hears himself out. Then Kimmel got right to Ye’s relationship with 45.

“You so famously and so powerfully said ‘George Bush doesn’t care about Black people.’ It makes me wonder what makes you think that Donald Trump does, or any people at all.

Silence followed and it was deafening.

In the great words of Martin Luther King, Jr., “the ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”

We see where you stand Kanye, but don’t let your ego cloud you from rationality and understanding. Remember, when Goliath comes stomping and howling without context, you better expect David to come running. Challenge to be challenged.

And last night, his dragon energy brother thanked him for speaking about the “truth”.

Thank you to Kanye West and the fact that he is willing to tell the TRUTH. One new and great FACT – African American unemployment is the lowest ever recorded in the history of our Country. So honored by this. Thank you Kanye for your support. It is making a big difference!

We don’t miss the old Kanye anymore. We just want him to fall back.
