Jozy Altidore has been on a tear for Dutch side AZ Alkmaar this season, netting 31 goals in all competitions and setting an American record for goals scored in Europe in the process.

He has been a worthy investment for AZ Alkmaar, as Altidore has score 51 goals in his 91 appearances for the club, though none were more crucial than his last. Up 1-0 in the Dutch Cup, Altidore dummied two defenders and fired a shot too hot for the keeper to handle, giving Alkmaar the vital 2-0 cushion they needed to see PSV Eindhoven out with a 2-1 victory. It was their first title since 1982, seven years before Altidore was born.

The young striker will certainly attract offers from bigger clubs in Europe after his two-year destruction of the Dutch league. Alkmaar will either have one of the hottest strikers in the game on their squad next season, or make a boatload of money selling the prospect who finally developed.
