Josh Gordon Balls Hard In Browns Loss To The Chargers

The last time Josh Gordon played in the National Football League was December 21, 2014 in a game versus the Carolina Panthers.  He caught four passes for 45 yards in a four-point loss.  On November 2, Gordon was reinstated by the NFL after a calamity of failed drug tests and broken promises that saw him absent from the Cleveland Browns lineup for three years.

People wondered was he done, was he worth all the trouble and was it possible that he could maintain some semblance of his athleticism after being gone for so long.  Well, all those questions were answered on Sunday.

Gordon performed like he was starving to play football.

“Football is what I’ve been doing my whole life,” Gordon said of his first game after missing 44 to team and NFL suspensions. “New stadium … that’s about it.”

He had four catches for 85 yards, and was the most exciting thing that happened to the 0-12 Browns all season.

“We got a lot more work to do,” Gordon said. “I’m just trying to go out there and make sure I do my job to the best of my ability, try to execute and make sure we have a lot of fun doing it.”
