John McCain Is About To Redefine Cable TV

As consumers we have more choices now than at any point in history. Whatever it is that you want can be selected easily, often by the click of a keyboard button. We tailor everything specifically to our needs; everything except for cable television.

Many people complain that the packages sold by cable providers are often too large and filled with channels few people give a crap about. Why are we paying for channels that we don’t want or use? Makes zero sense. Apparently, Senator John McCain agrees with you.

His proposal, the Television Consumer Freedom Act of 2013, seeks to completely change how we view premium television.

From The Seattle Times:

“I truly believe that a lot of Americans are fed up with their cable-TV bills,” said McCain, R-Ariz., speaking to a Senate commerce subcommittee exploring the status of the nation’s TV and video industries.
