Since then, fans and celebrities alike have come together in support of the star. One big name celebrity in particular, Tyler Perry, reached out to Owens via Twitter offering him a gig and of course he accepted.

According to TMZ, Owens is going to appear on Perrys hit show, The Haves and the Have Nots, not as a one-time deal but as a recurring role over a span of 10 episodes.
