Herm Edwards Isn’t With Turnover Celebrations And Ends Turnover Curls

Herm Edwards is known for his tough talk and tougher discipline. He brought that with him when he took the head coaching job at Arizona State and this week we got another example of “Herm don’t play that.”

After the team celebrated a first quarter interception with “Turnover Curls” last week against Washington (a game they ended up losing 27-20), Herm put his foot down and ended the short lived celebration.

“You’ll see it in the weight room only going forward,” said Edwards. “Short-lived. Great idea, not on my watch.”

The celebration, which wide receiver N’Keal Harry claimed was started by strength coach Joe Connolly, will become a one hit wonder of the college football gridiron.

But don’t be sad college football fans. For those still looking for that something extra after a big turnover you still have Turnover chains, belts, beads and thrones.

So the Turnover celebrations will continue, just not in Tempe.
