Harbaugh Returns to Michigan

Former Niners chief Jim Harbaugh was officially introduced as Michigan's new head coach on Tuesday afternoon. Harbaugh signed essentially the same deal he had with the 49ers, for around $5 million per year with a 2 million dollar signing bonus. There will also be incentives that he can earn (an appearance in the Big Ten Title game) which would bring him even more money.  Harbaugh had this statement when discussing becoming Michigan's new head coach, "I thought about it, dreamed about it–now it's time to live it".

Harbaugh when entering as a new coach often sees great amounts of success at every level. With the 49ers he turned an under .500 program into the 13-3 powerhouse that reached its first of three consecutive conference championship[ games within the first season. Harbaugh will likely bring some more validity to the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry, in the past few years Michigan has lost to Ohio State 10 out of 11 times. Lets see if Harbaugh can get Michigan a national championship.
