Good Night: Bank Was Open Late On The West Coast For Chris Paul

TNT has been running these promos for their summer series The Hero, hosted by Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson non-stop throughout the playoffs. At approximately 1:31 a.m. ET, Chris Paul dribbled out the clock, drove to the basket and became the Clippers buzzer-beating hero while getting blacketed by Tony Allen. Well, it appeared to be a buzzer-beater until the officials reviewed the shot to determine whether Paul called "bank!" and found that there was actually 0.1 of a second remaining.  The Grizzlies sulked back out from the locker room and were unable to come close to getting a tip-in near the basket. The shot gave the Clippers a 91-89 victory and put the Grizzlies in a 2-0 hole heading to Memphis for Game 3.

Paul 's 19 second half points and his game-winning bank shot overshadowed Mike Conley's 28 points and the beautiful pick-and-roll execution he and Gasol exhibited on the play prior.
