Georgia’s Star Running Back Todd Gurley Out for Season

Late in the Georgia rout of Auburn, college football fans witnessed one of the most talented running backs in the game suffer a heartbreaking injury. Todd Gurley, in his first game back from suspension, went down with a non contact injury with six minutes left in the game. Gurley immediately clutched his leg in pain, leaving Georgia fans stunned and fearing the worst.

This injury will be a gigantic setback to a promising young running back who reminded scouts of a young Marshawn Lynch. Gurley was set to declare for the NFL draft after this season, but this injury leaves his draft stock in questions.

After the game Gurley tweeted “no pain, no gain…”, a promising response to a brutal injury. Gurley can look to the likes of Adrian Peterson for inspiration as Peterson suffered the same injury and came back to lead the league in rushing. Fans are hoping that Gurley, already suffering from being suspended this season for the autograph signing situation, can make a strong return after this devastating injury.
