Flip Saunders dies of cancer at age 60

Minnesota Timberwolves coach and president of basketball operations, Philip “Flip” Saunders has passed away today, at age 60.

Saunders’ shocking death comes after he disclosed that he was being treated for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in August but planned to remain the head coach of the ‘Wolves.

Flip Saunders coached 17 seasons in the NBA with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons and Washington Wizards, compiling a 654-594 record.
