Durant shows his inner beast mode

Kevin Durant is finally settling into his role as a superstar in the NBA. Durant who some could now call the NBA’s Marshawn Lynch, lashed out at the media.

“You guys really don’t know s—.”

The statement was caused by a previous question that implied that Thunder coach Scott Brooks’ job security was somehow in question.

“To be honest, man, I’m only here talking to y’all because I have to. So I really don’t care. Y’all not my friends. You’re going to write what you want to write. You’re going to love us one day and hate us the next. That’s apart of it. So I just learn how to deal with y’all.”

Durant typically retains a polite, quiet demeanor when talking to the press. Could this be his frustration with a series of nagging injuries which has caused him to lose a bit of  his star power, particularly with Russell Westbrook shining brightly as of late?

Durant says that after all of this time he is just learning how to be himself in front of the media. Durant also stated that he doesn’t think the media should have so much power in deciding awards for players.

Durant ended his interview with “like I said, I don’t think you guys know as much as we do, and I don’t see why you have more power than we do.”
