Along with the other finalist Larry Nance, Jr. of the Cleveland Cavaliers, the two made it an evening of throwbacks, paying homage to some of the game’s greatest dunkers. Mitchell donned the retro Jazz jersey of Darrell Griffith — AKA Dr. Dunkenstein and brought out actor and comedian Kevin Hart and Hart’s son, along with his sister Jordan,  to dunk over all three on a lob off the side of the backboard for a perfect score of 50.

In the final round, Mitchell went off the backboard, caught the ball down low and swung it all the way back up for a vicious, powerful ram that earned him another perfect score of 50. He then changed jerseys again, emerging wearing Vince Carter’s old Toronto Raptors joint. For his final dunk, he broke out a 360 that he threw down in-flight while actually levitating away from the basket. He wound up beating Nance by one point to win this year’s crown on All-Star Saturday Night’s marquee event.

Nance started the night off by wearing his dad’s 1984 Phoenix Suns uniform, complete with the knee-high socks while replicating the rock the cradle dunk. In the final round, Nance’s dad came on the court to lob him the ball for a hard windmill, and then he lobbed the ball to himself on the glass, then tipped it a second time above the rim and dunked on the second effort.

In the 3-Point Shootout, Devin Booker banged a record 28 points in the final round to take the crown over Klay Thompson and Tobias Harris.
