Dolan Will Give Woodson Time To Course Correct Knicks Season

In a surprisingly rational move, Knicks owner James Dolan recently brought stability to a Knicks organization that was stuck in limbo. The Knicks struggles on the floor, Steve Mills' ascension to general manager and coaching miscues by Mike Woodson have led many to believe that the head coach would be on his way out the door soon. According to ESPN New York, James Dolan told his players that there would be no changes on the way.

As hopeless as this season seems, the Knicks remain just three games back of the Atlantic Division-leading (11-15) Toronto Raptors, who are both tanking and in contention for a division title at the same time. The bar is low, but now that Tyson Chandler, the rim protector in Woodson's defense, is back in the lineup, there is potential to salvage this season. The Knicks face the Raptors in a weekend back-to-back beginning on Friday. With two wins, the Knicks will inch closer to the division title. However, given the unpredictability of Dolan a pair of losses could cause him to renege.
