Sacramento Kings All-Star big-man DeMarcus Cousins and fellow Alabama native Eric Bledsoe of the Phoenix Suns, in video game fashion, scored a combined 176 points in a charity exhibition game last night in Birmingham.
This all took place at Eric Bledsoe’s annual “Back to School Rally” at the local Railroad Park. The event is dedicated to raising school supplies for roughly 300 kids in the community. Entertainment was provided along with a chance to watch the game later that night where the former Kentucky teammates squared off against each other.
Even though it’s hard to believe that in the social media era there was no official video or box score to confirm Cousin’s 91 points and Bledsoe’s 85, it appears that the scoring was true based upon tweets which surfaced from the event.
It appears that NBA Jam is real.
