The player hate for two-time NBA champion, four-time All-Star and two-time MVP Steph Curry continues as journeyman baller Dahntay Jones, who was signed by the Cavs ahead of the 2017 NBA playoffs and tossed Curry to the ground in the closing minutes of Game 2 of the Finals, doesn’t list The Chef among his Top 10 NBA Ballers right now.

Adding insult to injury, he says Curry just misses the cut.

“People get mad at me, because I dont declare him a top-10 player in the NBA, which is fine,” Jones said on the Mickstape podcast. “Ive got him on the outside like 11, 12.”
Looks as if Jones is preparing for a retirement hustle in the comedy business or maybe just sports radio. For some prognosticators in this social media-driven moshpit of nonsense we have to sift through, they are one in the same occupations.

According to www.sportingnews.com, Jones ranked his top three, then followed with the next seven in no particular order.
1. LeBron James
2. Kawhi Leonard
3. Kevin Durant
Next seven: John Wall, Paul George, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Chris Paul, Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Davis
Per sportingnews.com, “Jones also had Klay Thompson on the outside looking in, and he went so far as to suggest Draymond Green has the most irreplaceable skill set of anyone on the Warriors roster.”
“In my opinion, Draymond is the most important player on their team,” Jones said. “They’re going to the Finals without (Kevin Durant). He’s the one you can’t replace. If Draymond goes down, the person who can switch one through five… You can do so many great things defensively with him, so that makes him the most important player.”
Jones, a bench warmer for both the 2016 championship Cavs and the 2017 team that fell 4-1 to the Warriors in the NBA Finals, has witnessed many battles with Curry on the big stage and has obvious personal reasons for not including any Golden State Warriors in his Top 10 players.
There’s a growing brotherhood of haters that share a common “disdain” for Curry, and James has gone as far as to have people walk over a dummy dressed like Curry in order to enter his Halloween party. Jones was more than happy to oblige.
Hate comes in all shapes and sizes and its not just Jones. Many players around the NBA are jealous of Currys popularity, marketability, his jersey sales and his success as an NBA champion. Until they find a way to stop him, any criticism or devaluing of his stature as an all-time great will be looked upon as marshmallow soft click bait from an inferior competitor.
