D. Rose Spent His Rehab Workin’ On His Range

Derrick Rose wouldn't return to play for the Chicago Bulls until he felt fully recovered from the ACL tear he suffered in the 2012 NBA Playoffs. Though some fans were up in arms, the Bulls still managed to advance into the second round of the 2013 Playoffs and gave Miami a shock in Game 1.

Expectations are high in the Chi because of their success in the hopes that a deep run in the playoffs is in the cards this season when the UnforgettaBulls are reunited with their star.

Even better news for Bulls fans: Rose didn't just wait to recover from his injury, he got better. Rose has spent part of his offseason working on his shooting range, which should improve his shooting percentage and keep defenders further back on their heels than they already are.

From ABS-CBNNews

“The only thing I’ve been working on is shooting longer shots, because I think if people have to come out and stick with me a little bit further, it opens up the court a little bit more, and give me enough room to create and get my guys open.”

“I think I want to be more efficient when I go out there and play,” Rose added. “(I want to) be able to control the whole game, with me being the point guard and having the ball for majority of the game.”

That should sound appetizing for Bulls fans who were forced into hoping Nate Robinson went bezerk for offensive support. Now that D. Rose is back with expanded range, offense shouldn't be much of an issue.
