Cristiano Ronaldo Leaves Real Madrid To Play For Juventus

Real Madrid’s forward Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a deal to join Juventus in the Italian league.

The Spanish club has confirmed his leave according to BBC. It’s noted that Real Madrid and Juventus agreed on a 105m transfer deal, which is about $139m in US dollars.

Considering the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is arguably the greatest active soccer player right now, this was a big move for him, both teams and the professional leagues.

Real Madrid released a statement bidding the all-time top scorer farewell:

“For Real Madrid Cristiano Ronaldo will always be one of our great symbols,” said a club statement. “Real Madrid wants to express its gratitude to a player who has proved to be the best in the world and who has marked one of the brightest times in the history of our club and world football. Real Madrid will always be your home.”

This all comes on the heels of his tax evasion case.
