Cris Cyborg Returns For Low-Key Fight Weekend

Cristiane Cyborg Justino (16-1) is back in action this weekend  to continue her domination in womens MMA at UFC Fight Night 95.

The former Strikeforce and Invicta FC Womens Featherweight Champion has been on the hunt for her props in the UFC, and for her second time in the Octagon she faces Lina The Elbow Princess Lansberg of Sweden.

Like Cyborg, Lansbergs only loss came in her debut fight. But unlike the Brazilian, Lansberg (6-1) is a relative novice in MMA. She has fought no one of note and makes her UFC debut in this bout.

You have to give Lansberg a lot of props for stepping up to fight Cyborg in her UFC debut, especially at a catchweight of 140lbs. The two women both usually fight at 145lbs, but as Cyborg is on a quest to fight for the UFC Bantamweight Championship one day, she has continuously tried to reach 135lbs to no avail.

Although Amanda Nunes is the current UFC Womens Bantamweight champ, Cyborg wants Ronda Rousey to put to bed any doubt that she is better than her. With Rousey still being out of competition with no date of return, fans are hopeful but pessimistic that that fight will ever occur.

Catch all the MMA action this Saturday live from Ginasio Nilson Nelson in Brasilia, Brazil live and free on FS 1 at 10pm EST / 7pm PST.
