Clippers lose Blake Griffin and Chris Paul to injury

Just when it seems like the Clippers will finally take that next step, the curse returns and they become the Clippers of old again.

In last night’s 98-84 loss to the Portland Trailblazers, the Clippers lost two of their stars to injury. Blake Griffin suffered a quad injury which will keep him out of the playoffs and Chris Paul fractured his right hand. For Blake, an MRI revealed no additional structural damage to his quad while Paul had surgery to repair the fractured hand.

The Clippers will now have to rely big time on Sixth Man of the Year, Jamal Crawford, and the rest of the crew to make up the combined 38.8 points, 12.8 rebounds and 11.3 assists they are losing with these injuries.
